Who we are

Pretoria East Plumber Pretoria is a plumbing business run by Martin, operating from 41 Matroosberg Rd, Ashlea Gardens, Pretoria, 0081. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of our work, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.

We handle personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

We only ask for what we need to quote on and carry out plumbing work. Depending on how you contact us, that may include:

• Your name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address
• The suburb or street address where the work is needed
• A description of the problem, and any photos you choose to send
• Basic technical information your browser sends, such as device type and the pages you visited

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
• Arrange and carry out the work, including finding the correct address
• Issue quotes and invoices, and support insurance claims you ask us to help with
• Keep a record of the work done, which we may need for guarantee purposes

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.

Who we share it with

Only where it is needed to do the work, or where the law requires it:

• Suppliers or subcontractors on your job, and only what they need
• Your insurer or their assessor, if you ask us to help with a claim
• Our accountant, for invoicing and tax records
• Any authority we are legally obliged to give it to

Third party services on this website

The contact page shows an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may receive your IP address and set cookies under its own privacy policy. Links to WhatsApp and to our Google profile take you to services run by Meta and Google, which have their own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted once they are no longer useful. Records of completed work, including invoices, are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for tax and guarantee purposes.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
• Delete your details, where we are not legally required to keep them
• Stop contacting you

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
