Low water pressure, traced and fixed
A shower that barely trickles or taps that take forever. We test the pressure at your property and fix the actual cause.

Low water pressure has a handful of usual causes: a partly closed or faulty valve, a pressure regulator that has failed, old pipes that have scaled up inside, or a leak taking water before it gets to the tap. Guessing which one it is wastes time and money.
We test the pressure at the property, work backwards from the tap to the meter and tell you which of those causes it is. Pressure that is too high is also a problem, because it shortens the life of your geyser and fittings, so we fix that too.
What we get called for
Weak shower or bath
Often a valve or the hot water side. We check both.
Low pressure in the whole house
Traced from the meter in, including the municipal side.
Pressure regulator replacement
Fitted or replaced and set to suit the house and the geyser.
Old scaled-up pipes
The worst sections rerouted with new pipe.
Hot side, cold side or both?
- 1
If only the hot water is weak, the problem is usually at the geyser: the pressure control valve or the geyser's own fittings.
- 2
If hot and cold are both weak everywhere, it is more likely the supply, the main valve or a leak.
- 3
If only one tap is weak, it is usually that tap or a blocked aerator. Tell us which it is when you phone.
Common questions
Is low pressure always my problem?
Not always. Sometimes it is on the municipal side. We check that first so you are not paying to fix something that is not yours.
Can water pressure be too high?
Yes. High pressure strains your geyser, valves and fittings. A correctly set pressure regulator protects them.
Can you improve pressure from a low pressure geyser?
Often the best fix is converting to a high pressure system. We can tell you if your house suits it.
