About these terms

These terms apply when you use pretoriaeastplumber.co.za or ask Pretoria East Plumber Pretoria to quote on or carry out plumbing work. By using the site or accepting a quote, you agree to them.

Quotes

A quote is based on what we can see and test at the time. If we open up a wall, floor or line and find something different, we will explain what we found and agree any change in price with you before carrying on.

Any call-out or quoting charge, and how long a quote stays valid, will be confirmed with you when you book or shown on the quote itself.

The work

We carry out work with reasonable care and skill, and install to the applicable SANS standards and municipal by-laws. You agree to give us safe access to the property and to the areas we need to work in, and to tell us about anything we should know, such as estate access rules, alarms or animals.

Payment

Payment terms are set out on your quote or invoice. Materials remain our property until they have been paid for in full.

Guarantee

Any guarantee on our workmanship is set out on your quote or invoice. Parts and appliances such as geysers carry the manufacturer's own guarantee, and we will help you claim on it. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, by other contractors, or by problems outside the work we were asked to do.

Insurance work

Where we help with an insurance claim, the agreement for the work is still between you and us. We will supply the reports and photos your insurer asks for, but any excess and any amount your insurer does not cover remains payable by you.

Liability

We are not responsible for damage caused by existing faults in the plumbing that we were not asked to repair, or for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

Governing law
